The Resistance is chalking up wins. Stacey Abrams won the Democratic primary for governor of Georgia. If elected, she’ll be the first Black woman to govern any state. In Texas, Lupe Valdez, a gay Latina, secured the Democratic nomination for governor. All over the country, progressive candidates are making gains.
Meanwhile in California: CA-21’s David Valadao and CA-10’s Jeff Denham, two hard-right Republicans, are pushing Congress to pass immigration reform to protect DACA kids. Why? They’re both facing progressive challengers in tough races in their home districts. Let’s push them even harder.
